Keeping our money, rewards in Ocean Grove

There is a way to work smarter together as a Community Enterprise

Whether it’s the Surf Club, the Grubbers, Ocean Grove Park, the  Kindergarten, at school or a score of other community organisations and individuals, they are dedicated to raising money, to keep their community organisations going.

We all know just how challenging it is to find sponsors, get donations and do fundraising  events – its just plain hard work and its not getting any easier.

By bringing the community together, Ocean Grove can be rewarded. All over Australia, especially regional Victoria, communities like Bendigo, Torquay, Bannockburn, Colac, Queenscliff Point Lonsdale and Geelong are now taking advantage of the Community Enterprise program underpinned by the Bendigo Bank.

Here’s how it works.

When you do your banking with the Bendigo Bank and when the business you work in uses the Geelong Community Telco, for its phones and data a dividend comes back to Ocean Grove when you nominate the Ocean Grove Community Enterprise as your chosen Charity.  Its that simple. Ocean Grove Community Enterprise Ltd is owned by the Ocean Grove residents and its board, that makes the decisions on how the money is spent is described on the Board page. Take a look.

They are a well known bunch of community minded Ocean Grovers and you can talk to them about local community projects both big and small that are important to you.

It’s a great idea, how can I help?

Start by filling out the form on the Pledging page and mail it to the Ocean Grove Branch of the Bendigo Bank.
